The music industry mourns another another unexpected loss of brilliance.
This time, it’s Boitumelo Mooi, also known as DJ Dimplez, the founder of Pop Bottles and hip hop DJ.
They resemble a brown, scaly patch that may appear anywhere on the body.
The family reported that DJ Dimplez died after a sudden cerebral hemorrhage on Sunday. They requested respect and privacy as “we mourn Tumi’s tragic death.”
The famous musician began his career by working for prominent television programs such as Vuzu and Channel 0.
Many are still attempting to comprehend his passing and the significance of his abrupt brain hemorrhage.
According to Heart and Stroke Foundation SA, the medical term for this condition is “cerebral haemorrhage,” which simply means “brain bleeding.”
The majority of bleeding strokes are caused by uncontrolled blood pressure, although there are additional causes of compromised brain blood arteries. Only 2 in 10 strokes are caused by bleeding, with clots being the most common cause.
Dr. Coceka Mfundisi, a neurosurgeon from Johannesburg, designed a thread to aid comprehension.
Mfundisi expressed his condolences to the family that lost a loved one as a result of this tragedy. It is a true tragedy, and they must be asking themselves many things.”
She began by stating, “The most frequent and devastating cause of cerebral hemorrhage is aneurysm rupture.
“An aneurysm is a blister that grows on the wall of the blood vessels, and the weak point will eventually give way. This causes an acute bleed accompanied by a strong headache. She characterized her pain as “the worst headache of my entire life.”
What may have caused this? According to Mfundisi, smoking, genetic connective tissue abnormalities, and some viral diseases are predisposing factors for aneurysm formation.
The alternative cause is a hypertensive bleed or, more usually, a stroke. Using recreational drugs is also connected with increases in blood pressure. Typically, this bleed is not immediately fatal, and the patient is able to reach the hospital.
“An alternative cause is vascular malformation. Blood vessels consist of an artery and a vein. Consider them as water pipe systems. The artery is built to withstand high pressures, while the veins are meant to withstand lower pressures.
“An artery delivers oxygen to the blood, while a vein returns blood to the heart. Interposed between the artery and vein are arterioles and venules, which are smaller vessels.
“In arteriography malformation, there is a relationship between the high pressure and low pressure systems,” she continues. This may cause bleeding.
“The second cause is subdural haemorrhage, which is bleeding between the brain and its tough covering, the dura. This is typical in circumstances of trauma and among the elderly.
Mfundisi lamented that you cannot simply walk into a general practitioner’s office and request testing if you wish to be proactive. “Screening is minimal unless an individual is at high risk and exhibits symptoms of a blood vessel disease. The examination is symptom-based and highly specific. Therefore, you cannot come into your doctor’s office and request a check for an aneurysm.”
She closed her discussion with a disclaimer stating that she solely discussed the causes of spontaneous or minimally traumatic bleeding.
