The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increase in the popularity of online food delivery platforms.
Vendors have partnered with platforms such as Jumia in order to expand their reach to consumers, who have been affected by the pandemic and subsequent lockdown.
Due to the increased risk associated with crowded places, online delivery platforms have become the safer option for consumers to still enjoy delicious food.
Chris Nyesigire, the owner of a popular food joint known as Ugaroll commented, “Working and partnering with Jumia has provided us with a great opportunity to overcome the strain of the outbreak and still be able to maintain high standards for our consumers.”
