Paul Rabil is considered to be one of the best lacrosse players in the world. He is supposed to have an estimated net worth of $5 million as of 2023. As a result of his incredible performance in lacrosse and his accomplishments, he has received several high-profile sponsorships from companies like Red Bull and GoPro. He owns a business named Rabil ventures that invest in numerous startups. 

Paul Rabil and his brother Mike Rabil co-founded the Premier Lacrosse League most recently. They are creating the premier professional lacrosse league in the US, a project that has improved his reputation beyond lacrosse. 

Paul Rabil: Early Life and Education

Paul Rabil was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The talented midfielder for PLL played a variety of sports as a child in Maryland. Allan Rabil and Jean Rabil, Paul Rabil’s parents, were ardent sports fans. They had always pushed their three kids to be as sporty as they could. 

Because of the immense support that Paul Rabil got from his parents, he began playing lacrosse at the age of 12. His older brother, Mike Rabil, was more into baseball and football, whereas his older sister, Rebecca Rabil, was more into design and fashion.

Paul graduated from DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, after attending Watkins Mill High School in Montgomery Village, Maryland. The John Hopkins University was where he later played lacrosse for a living. 

It wasn’t easy for young paul to play lacrosse while suffering from ADHD. Paul was diagnosed with ADHD when he was in high school. He struggled and dedicated himself to overcoming the disease and achieving his dream. He continued playing lacrosse and became one of the top lacrosse players in the world. 

Paul Rabil: Professional Career

In 2008, when the American League Lacrosse Championship was held, Paul was chosen by the organization, and he subsequently began playing the sport professionally.

He made his second participation in the All-Star Game in 2009. The world record for the fastest shot was set by paul in 2010. From 2010 to 2014, he played in All-Star Games, and in 2014, his record was broken by Zak Dorn. 

He consistently participated in several games. In 2010, he set the record at 11mph (179 km/h). He received the LLV award once more that year and Steinfield Cup Championship with the Boston Cannons. 

He played with the team for seven seasons, winning the championship once in 2011. Paul started 82 games for the Cannons throughout his seven-year period, and he scored 185 goals.  

After that, in 2015, the John Hopkins alumnus was exchanged for veteran Max Seibald by the New York Lizards along with colleague Mike Stone. Rabil led his squad to the MLL title with 52 points. 

Paul continued to enhance his performance in the MLL throughout the following three seasons. In addition to playing field lacrosse, Paul also participated in box lacrosse. He played for the Washington Stealth for five seasons and won a championship.

Paul Rabil: Founding Premiere Lacrosse League (PLL)

Paul decided to make things better for lacrosse players all around the country after playing for 11 seasons in the MLL. Even the best player at that time had pitiful salaries with limited sponsorship opportunities. 

In direct opposition to MLL, Paul and his brother Mike Created the Premiere Lacrosse League (PLL). Paul’s ultimate aim in starting this league was to encourage all the lacrosse players to treat the sport as a full-time job where they could receive benefits just like other employees.

The Raine Group and The Chernin Group, two well-known investors, initially invested in the league, which helped them to make the PLL possible. 

The League’s first season began on June 1, 2019. He was chosen to play in the PLL inaugural All-Star game in Los Angeles, California, and was featured on SportCenterTop 10 for an outstanding around-the-world pass. 

In September 2021, Paul declared his retirement from playing professional lacrosse. His retirement was after 13 years of participation in the US lacrosse field. 

Paul Rabil: Personal Life

Paul Rabil was born as the youngest to the family of Allan Rabil and Jean Rabil. Paul had two elder siblings named Mike Rabil and Rebecca Rabil. The family of Paul resided in Maryland for a very long time. 

In January 2014, Paul Rabil tied the knot with Kelly Berger, a fitness influencer. In 2017, they parted ways due to unknown reasons. Paul  Rabil was rumored having a relationship with the Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez. They supposedly split in 2021. 

Paul Rabil: Awards and Achievements

As already said, Paul Rabil has been present in the lacrosse game since he was 12. He began playing lacrosse while studying in high school. He has been honored with the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference champion for three consecutive years (2002-2004).

Paul has been awarded several other honors for his passionate performance in the game. He has helped his lacrosse teams win several awards.
