One of the top watch brands in the world, Timex has launched a new exciting update in the game Fortnite, which will give a unique, immersive experience for its user. With the available information, the feature called ‘Run Against TimeX’ will give the player a chance to race against time in a series of multiple mini-games.
The new experience comes with six-mini game challenges in which the player has to find their way around a set of obstacles before they run out of time on their clock.
If any of the players intend to buy power-ups or extra time theory can make the purchase in the form of a new watch. The additional power and speed gained by the purchase of these watches are bound to give the players a winning edge.
The statement regarding the new feature of the game said that being the official timekeepers of the metaverse, Timex was keen on playing with the concept of time and also in mixing analog technology with one of the most popular and most played video games in the world, which was Fortnite.
This is not the first time that Timex has been involved with the metaverse and this time they are not holding back. This time they are destined to enhance the gaming experience through additional immersive virtual experiences.
The collaboration will be supported and made more popular through multiple ways like in-game giveaways and also partnerships with gamer influencers like Parker Locke, Sushi Bae SypherPK, and a few more social media influencers, who are Fortnite enthusiasts.
Another popular influencer who is involved in the partnership is Landon Baker, who is a popular Gen Z style icon and also a very well-known Fortnite enthusiast. According to him, the time spent playing Fortnite is time well spent.
He says this because for him it is one of the best ways of connecting with all of his friends without any superficial things that get in the way of connection. Being a huge fan of Fortnite and also a lover of Timex watches, Baker said that it was a perfect opportunity for him.
The first-ever entry of Timex into the metaverse launched with a spectacular show. The jaw-dropping event witnessed electrifying performances from celebrities and the event also showcased one of the most modern technologies that were developed.

The event which started with a pre-show countdown also featured a virtual and live performance by pop singer Justin Bieber and also an event named ‘Enter the Hottieverse’ in partnership with AmazeVR.
The event also featured virtual Timex watches attached to the wrist of the avatar of each character with special VR hand-tracking abilities.
Along with their new collaboration with Fortnite, the watch manufacturers have also mentioned their entry into web3.0 was coming soon. In connection with this news, reports claim that Timex has now made a loose association with the community members of the Bored Ape Yacht Club ( BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club.
They have designed 500 bespoke watches along with the members of BAYC and the web 3.0 firm Daz3D. The presale of these exclusively designed pieces was decided to start on December 2 during the Art Basel Event in Miami.
Timex is not the first luxury brand to have an association with the Yuga Labs brand to give their customers the chance to have a custom-made item for the NFT blue-chip holders.
The luxury jewelry brand Tiffany & Co also did something similar in August, where they gave 250 NFT pendants that were customized for cryptoPunk NFT holders.
