Will Social Security And SSI recipients Get A 4th Stimulus Check?

The only good news for people who get Social Security or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is that the cost-of-living adjustment for 2023 was recently announced.

There is still an online petition that tries to get lawmakers to give seniors a fourth $1,400 stimulus check.

People who get Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) were hoping that Congress would think about giving them a fourth stimulus check.

The Senior Citizens League has pushed for a $1,400 one-time stimulus check for Social Security beneficiaries, who are hardest hit by rising prices.

Last year, the group wrote a letter to Congress saying that the cost-of-living adjustment and inflation will hit many older Americans on fixed incomes.

The idea came about after many older people talked about how hard it was for them after the pandemic.

Shannon Benton from the Senior Citizens League said, "We've gotten hundreds of emails from people worried about making ends meet."

And since inflation isn't going away quickly, millions of Americans still need a shot of money to help their finances.

It is asking Congress for monthly stimulus checks of $2,000 for adults and $1,000 for children for the "duration of the crisis."
