The Lost City Of The Amazon, Ratanabá

A story that may or may not have been true about a city that was lost in the Amazon moved social networks.

Experts think that the theory is a lie because it says that people lived in the forest area more than 450 million years ago.

About this possible historical find, rumours and theories started to grow and spread on social networks.

They said the city would be "bigger than Greater So Paulo," which they called "the capital of the world," and that it "hid a lot of wealth from our ancestors"

Some conspiracy theories said the discovery would explain "the real interest of dozens of powerful men in the Amazon" and the disappearances of Dom Phillips and Bruno Pereira.

Eduardo Neves, a professor at the University of So Paulo's Museum of Archeology and Ethnology who has studied the area for 35 years, explains.

Neves says that “All this is a delusion”. The history of the city that has been called the "capital of the world" is just a theory.

Sources that are going around on social networks say that the Murial civilization would have built the lost city of Ratanabá.

Neves also says that the pictures used to show the lost city aren't very true to life. They only show big, golden buildings made of rock and gold that shine.
