Stimulus Checks In October 2022

When the IRS issued the final of three Economic Impact Payments (EIP), several governments used excess budget dollars to help citizens struggling with high inflation.

Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Maine, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania have already given inflation relief or stimulus refunds.

Many citizens in these states might get tax refunds this month due to administrative delays and rolling submissions.

However, unless there are unexpected crises, citizens of California, Hawaii, and Virginia will get state stimulus refunds in October 2022

According to the State of California Franchise Tax Board, recipients of California's Middle Class Tax Refund (MCTR) will begin receiving checks as early as October 7.

Between October 25 and December 10, 2022, MCTR debit cards will be mailed out. 90% of direct deposits are expected to be made by October 2022, and 95% of all refunds by the end of the year.

Married couples with more than one child who make less than $150,000 per year can get a rebate up to $1,050.

According to filing status and federally adjusted gross income, Hawaii's Act 115 Refund provides checks for $100 or $300.

Taxpayers who filed their 2021 returns between January 1 and July 31, 2022 should have already received their direct deposit rebate from the Department of Taxation.

Those due paper refund checks will recieve them by the end of October. Those who filed after July will get their refund payments 10 to 12 weeks after their filing date.

Virginia residents must have had a tax liability for tax year 2021 in order to get a one-time tax rebate of $250 for single filers and $500 for joint filers in 2022.

Those eligible who filed by Sept. 5 should get their rebate by Oct. 31 by direct deposit or mailed paper check. For this rebate, you must file a tax return by Nov. 1, 2022.
