San Francisco 49ers Offensive Lineman Will Be 'Out A While' With Injury

After beating the Los Angeles Rams 24–9 on "Monday Night Football," the San Francisco 49ers are now 2-0 against teams from the NFC West.

The team will have to figure out how to play without at least a couple more injured players for their next game against the Carolina Panthers.

Colton McKivitz sprained his MCL during Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Rams, which the Niners won.

McKivitiz started his fifth game against LA.  He was supposed to fill in for All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams, who is out with a high ankle sprain and can't play right now.

Shanahan said, "He'll be out for a while." "It's pretty much the same as what Elijah Mitchell and Azeez Al-Shaair have."

No time frame was given for the offensive lineman, but it is thought that it will take the other two 49ers players with MCL sprains 8 weeks to get better.

"We'll see what happens this week," Shanahan said. "I haven't really talked about it yet, but it's likely to be Jaylon Moore. Daniel Brunskill is always a possibility, though.

Arik Armstead, a defensive lineman, is back on the injury list after getting back into games after a one-week break.

Ward was put on the Injured Reserve list before Week 1 because he had hurt his hamstring. Last season, he had 77 tackles, four passes defended, and two interceptions.
