Pennsylvania $1000 Checks Up For Claims: Who’s Eligible?
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides cash grants to low-income families to help them pay their heating bills.
Households that are in imminent danger of going without heat are also eligible for emergency financial assistance in the form of grants.
The cash grant is a one-time payment made directly to your utility company/fuel provider, which will be credited to your bill.
Based on household size, income, and fuel type, these grants range from $300 to $1,000. Remember that this is a grant that does not need to be repaid.
You must meet certain income requirements.
You don't have to be on public assistance
It is not necessary for you to have unpaid bills for heating.
You have the option to either rent or buy your home.
Apply for benefits online with COMPASS, Pennsylvania's online tool for applying for health and human service programs and managing benefit information.
