Patrick Mahomes Fastest Player To Reach 20,000 Passing Yards

Patrick Mahomes created history on Sunday Night Football by breaking a record. The Chiefs star became the fastest NFL quarterback to achieve 20,000 yards.

Mahomes surpassed the milestone against the Buccaneers in the third quarter. He reached this milestone in just 67 games.

Mahomes, 27, entered the game 152 yards from the previous mark. Before him, Matthew Stafford of the Lions reached 20,000 yards in 71 games.

The Chiefs quarterback already has a Super Bowl win, a Super Bowl MVP, an NFL MVP, an Offensive Player of the Year title, and four Pro Bowl selections to his name.

Mahomes will almost certainly be able to add  a lot more trophy case after playing in his sixth season in the NFL.

Mahomes also threw for more than 10,000 yards in 2020, making him the fastest quarterback in NFL history.

Mahomes reached the milestone in his 34th game, which is two games faster than the previous record holder, Hall of Famer Kurt Warner, who did it in 36 games.

Mahomes also set the record for the fastest quarterback in NFL history to pass for 15,000 yards in 2021 in his 49th game.

Year after year, he sets new marks. 2020 for the fastest 10K, 2021 for the fastest 15K, and 2022 for the fastest 20K.
