Maine $850 Tax Rebate Automatic Payment: Who Qualifies?

Under its tax rebate program, the state of Maine is sending up to 200,000 payments each week until everyone receives a check.

It has been distributing payments since June 2. The tax credits are worth $850 per individual and $1,700 per family.

You must meet requirements to get a rebate check. Individuals cannot earn more than $100,000, while heads of households and couples can earn up to $150,000 and $200,000, respectively.

Who is eligible?

These will be based on tax returns filed by October 31, 2021. Furthermore, you must not be claimed as a dependent on another person's tax return to be eligible for the rebate.

With approximately 200,000 tax rebates set to be distributed each week, the majority of payments would be distributed by the end of the month.

When your check will arrive

To track your payment, you can use Maine's refund status tool. A tax rebate is available to approximately 858,000 Maine residents. They are also not expected to be delayed as previously anticipated.

In addition, several other states have approved plans to send out tax refunds. In Delaware, 600,000 people will receive rebate payments of up to $600.

What other states are sending out money?

Approximately 4.3 million Indiana residents have begun to receive tax rebates, which will continue until mid-summer.

Furthermore, bonus checks in the amount of $500 have been distributed to eligible workers in Massachusetts this month.
