Halloween Deadline For $12,000
Guaranteed Income Check
Eligible Sonoma County residents have until Halloween, October 31, to apply for a direct payment totaling $12,000 in guaranteed income.
They will receive a payment of $500 each month for a total of two years, but they need to act quickly before time runs out.
The county collaborated with the cities of Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and Healdsburg, as well as a coalition of community groups, to establish "The Pathway to Income Equity."
Residents have until Monday, October 31 to submit their applications by going online to the PathwaySonoma.org website.
A total of 305 low-income families in Sonoma County will be helped by the pilot initiative that will run for two years.
There is no need for verification at the time of application. Instead, selected applicants will be required to provide documentation proving their eligibility.
