Golden State Stimulus: When Will Payouts Start?

Numerous state leaders have announced financial aid efforts using stimulus grants or tax rebates because the cost of living is predicted to soar in 2022.

The latest batch of Golden State Stimulus II checks might provide 800,000 Californians a cash boost this month.

"We passed the recovery package to get money into the pockets of Californians who were hit hardest by this pandemic...

and that's exactly what the Golden State Stimulus is doing - already getting 1.6 billion dollars to 2.5 million Californians," Governor Gavin Newsom said

"Californians who have not yet filed their 2020 taxes should be aware that they may be eligible for these funds,..

 and we look forward to expanding initiatives like this that invest in and support Californians in the months ahead."

"The Golden State Stimulus will provide a measure of relief to California taxpayers deeply affected by the pandemic," the state's comptroller and FTB Chair Betty T. Yee added.

"This stimulus, combined with the California Earned Income Tax Credit, will provide hundreds or even thousands of dollars to many individuals and families in need."

People who qualify will be chosen at random in a lottery. They should be notified if they are chosen by the middle of November.

Who gets stimulus money?

a) Those who has Filed 2020 taxes by October 15, 2021 b) Californians with a 2020 AGI between $1 and $75,000 c) California residents for more than half of 2020 tax year

Eligible California residents should get their payments between October 7 and October 25.
