Florida $2000 Natural Gas Rebate Checks: Who’s Eligible?

The Florida city of Tallahassee is urging households to switch to natural gas with checks ranging from $50 to $2,000 in an effort to reduce the demand for electricity.

The city will connect gas from the street to the home for free. Residential and commercial property owners may qualify for rebates and low-interest financing.

Tallahassee residents, as well as new customers connecting where gas is accessible, and natural gas users in the Leon, Gadsden, and Wakulla counties, are all eligible.

To claim the rebates, download and complete the residential or commercial customer rebate form.

After that, you must email or send your completed application as well as a copy of your payment receipt.

Remember that in order to qualify for rebates, appliance installations must be approved and inspected by City or County Growth Management.
