According to officials Thousands of Americans need to take action ahead of a fast-approaching deadline to claim a $1,000 payment.

Full-time workers in Connecticut are eligible for the Premium Pay program, which has a budget of $30 million and can provide them with up to $1,000.

Additionally, the officials have stated that part-time workers are eligible for direct payments of up to $500 if they qualify.

Residents of Maryland only have a little more than a week left to make their claims for a Student Loan Debt Relief Tax Credit worth up to $1,000.

In order to be eligible for benefits, citizens of Connecticut must have worked as essential workers between the dates of March 10, 2020, and May 7, 2022.

An "Essential Worker" is defined by the program as an individual employee in Connecticut who was not given the option to work remotely during the pandemic.

To be eligible for financial assistance, all critical workers' annual incomes must be less than $149,999.

The application can be submitted online, but it must be done by Saturday, October 1 - which means there are only two days remaining.

Employees who are paid by a federal, state, or municipal government agency are not eligible for this benefit.

"With over 150,000 applications already received, there has been an enormous interest for this program," state comptroller Natalie Braswell stated.
