Direct Payment Of $400 A Month For 2 Years – Are You Eligible?

Families in Coachella, California, with LOW incomes can now sign up for a programme that gives them $400 a month for two years.

Together with Mission Asset Fund, the Coachella Immigrant Families Recovery Program will give cash aid to 140 families.

If they are accepted, participants can choose to have the money put into their checking account every month or put on a prepaid card they will get in the mail.

Online applications will only be accepted until 5 p.m. on November 11. Families who qualify will start getting help in January 2023.

In a statement, Mayor Steven Hernandez said, "We've put together a full universal basic income programme that helps our most vulnerable residents."

"Together with MAF, we want to make this programme work by changing the lives of those families," Mr. Hernandez said.

1. Must live in Coachella, California. 2. Be at least 18 years old 3. Have a government-issued photo ID that is valid and hasn't expired.



4. Lived in your home in 2021 with at least one child under the age of 12 5. Earned less than $75,000 or had a household income of less than $150,000 in 2021


6. Have submitted a tax return for either 2019 or 2020, or have informed the IRS that you don't submit a return for either 2020 or 2021
