Gas Relief Checks
Hits Banks: How To Get?
Californians can expect another round of gas relief payments next week, as the current round will be distributed between October 7 and October 25.
The second group of payments is scheduled to be disbursed between the dates of 28 October and 14 November.
The automatic payments range from $200 to $1,050 and are the result of a deal reached between Governor Gavin Newsom and state lawmakers months ago.
Payment will be distributed via debit cards to state taxpayers who did not file digitally from October 25 to January 15.
The California Franchise Tax Board has stated that rebates will continue to be distributed up until January 2023.
Payments will be made to California residents through either direct deposit or debit card.
How to receive your payment
Those who filed their 2020 tax return electronically and received their refund via direct deposit will receive their payment in the same manner.
Others will receive payment by mail in the form of a debit card, according to the California Franchise Tax Board, if they:
Filed a paper return
Had a balance due
Received your Golden State Stimulus (GSS) payment by check
Received your tax refund by check regardless of filing method
Your tax refund was direct deposited, but you've changed banks or account numbers.
Your tax service provider gave you an advance or you paid them with your refund.
Thousands of farmers will benefit from the $3.1 billion provided by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
