Residents in states such as Colorado and Massachusetts had until earlier this week to act and claim their tax rebates.
But people who live in other parts of the country still have some time in October to claim their money.Here's who qualifies for direct payment programs
Cook County, Illinois, is one of dozens of paces across the country that provide universal basic income, which is a set of recurring payments.
1. Cook County
However, there are only two days left to claim $500 monthly direct payments. The payments will be made to 3,250 eligible families over a two-year period.
To be eligible, a Cook County household's income must be at or below 250 percent of the federal poverty level.
Candidates must also be at least 18 years old. Online applications may be submitted up until Friday, October 21.
Maine has been sending out $850 per individual and $1,700 per family. Although the state distributed most payments in June and July, some rebates will take time to arrive.
Governor Janet Mills
' office stated that checks will be distributed on a rolling basis until the end of 2022.
Individuals must earn no more than $100,000 to qualify, while heads of households and couples can earn up to $150,000 and $200,000, respectively.
To be eligible for a tax refund in 2021, you must file your tax returns by the 31st of October at the very latest.
Another deadline, on Monday, October 31, will apply to a pilot program for guaranteed income in Sonoma County, California.

Reside in Sonoma County
Dependent on family size, have a household income 185 percent above the federal poverty level.

Be pregnant or have a child under age 6
Have suffered economic losses due to Covid-19, such as loss of job, income, child care, or housing
More than 300 families in the county are eligible for $500 monthly payments for two years. Eligible residents can apply online at PathwaySonoma.org.
