$1500 Bonus Checks Coming Soon: Who’s Eligible?
A one-time bonus check in the amount of $1,500 will be sent to eligible Americans by the middle of the following month.
Arkansas residents can look forward to a treat at the end of the year, thanks to bonus payments approved in May.
Teachers are being recognised for their efforts during the pandemic, when their jobs became more difficult and they transitioned to remote learning.
Certain Arkansas teachers can expect a $1,500 bonus payment from the district's certified salary schedule of $4.5 million.
According to Talk Business, the bonuses will be given to "veteran" teachers in the Fort Smith Public School (FSPS) system.
How do you qualify?
You may also be eligible if you are a school administrator, such as a principal or assistant principal.
Administrators working at the level of the district, including department directors, will not be eligible for the payment.
Nurses, police officers, professional support staff, physical and occupational therapy assistants, and SLP assistants are also ineligible due to separate pay scales.
Teachers will also receive an additional benefit as a result of the so-called "Certified Salary Schedule."
The approved schedule increased the base pay from $38,500 to $44,000 for the fiscal year 2022-2023.
