Alexandria $500 Monthly Checks Deadline On Nov 9th: Who’s Eligible?

As part of a basic income program, thousands of Americans have been given the opportunity to apply for $500 monthly payments.

Applications for the ARISE program, which is open to Alexandria, Virginia residents, are now being accepted.

ARISE, which stands for Alexandria's Recurring Income for Success and Equity, provides a basic income guarantee to hundreds of local families.

Residents of the following zip codes can submit an application to participate in the program: 22301, 22302, 22304, 22305, 22311, 22312, and 22314.

According to the report, the application deadline for those interested in the money has been extended to November 9th.

The money is drawn from a $3 million fund established by the American Rescue Plan Act, which is funded by the federal government.

There are no limitations or constraints on how to use the funds, which will be distributed over a two-year period to 170 households.

In order to get assistance, applicants must demonstrate that their household income is at or below half of the regional average.

This indicates that the annual income of a household of four cannot exceed $71,150 in order to qualify.

"The pandemic has plainly shown how many Alexandria families are on the border of poverty," said Justin Wilson, the mayor of Alexandria.
