“Two Chairs – One Opinion”, “News from Spocht” and “Die Doofen”: in the 90s, millions of viewers were stuck to the TV program “RTL Saturday Night”. The show is making a comeback this fall. Unfortunately, one of the earlier protagonists does not live with the reunion.
In the autumn the big gala show “RTL Saturday Night – The Reunion” (also on RTL+) with the stars of the time. Esther Schweins, Tanja Schumann, Olli Dittrich, Wigald Boning, Tommy Krappweis, Stefan Jürgens and Mark Weigel will be present for the skits, parodies and music.
According to the broadcaster’s announcement, viewers can look forward to column classics such as “Two Chairs – One Opinion”, “News from Spocht” and “Die Doofen”. The infamous word twisters will also be there again.
Hugo Egon Balder leads the evening. “As a producer at the time, I was very happy to moderate the big ‘RTL Saturday night’ reunion and meet the old crew,” said Balder. This will be fun. And he added that a former star of the show will also be remembered: “It goes without saying that, of course, we will also be commemorating our friend Mirco Nonchev on the show.” The Berliner died on December 3 last year in his apartment at the age of just 52.
The comedy sketch show “RTL Saturday Night” attracted millions of viewers from November 1993 to May 1998. The regular cast and team received many awards for their work, including the Bambi, the Bavarian TV Prize and the Grimme Prize. The comedy spectacle was produced by Jacky Dreksler and former “Tutti Frutti” star Hugo Egon Balder. The latter joked in the new press release: “Purely hypothetical, if now ‘Tutti Frutti’ or ‘Everything Nothing Or ?!’ should come back, RTL certainly played the 90s.”
