Nominees for the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, Listed by Artist

Justin Bieber, Megan Thee Stallion, and BTS lead the list of 2021 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) nominees, announced Wednesday.

KAMPALA | LIFESTYLE UGANDA — The 2021 nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards were revealed Wednesday, and Justin Bieber, Megan Thee Stallion, and BTS led the pack.

Justin Bieber has the most nominations for the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) with seven nods, followed by Megan Thee Stallion with six.

“WAP,” starring Stallion and Cardi B, earned STALLION a Video of the Year nomination ; Bieber received it for “Popstar,” starring DJ Khaled and Drake.

Each of the following five artists earned five nominations at the MTV VMAs: Billy Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, Lil Nas X, and Olivia Rodrigo, a first-time nominee .

As for Lil Nas X, he also received five nominations this year, all for his standout video for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name) ,” which prompted conservative viewers to turn away due to its queer content.

The VMA Awards will begin accepting votes today on vma.mtv.com across all 14 gender-neutral categories. The 2021 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) will be broadcast live from New York City’s Barclays Center on Sunday, Sept. 12.

ViacomCBS will simulcast the show across several of its networks, including CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, the Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, VH1, and The CW.
