‘Izzy Is F***D’ – Alex Pereira looks bigger than UFC light heavyweight Dominick Reyes ahead of his Israel Adesanya title fight, fans are convinced Pereira beats Adesanya at UFC 281

UFC 281 will take place inside Madison Square Garden (MSG) on November 12. In the main event, UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will take on kickboxing rival Alex Pereira. Although Izzy is by no means a short guy, it looks like Pereira will have a significant height advantage over him.

In a newly emerged photo, Pereira was seen posing alongside former two-time light heavyweight title contender Dominick Reyes. But, to everyone’s surprise, it looked like Dominick was the smaller fighter between the two. With just over two months to go, Alex is in incredible shape and looks to be over 200 pounds right now.

There is a saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. It is certainly true on this occasion. As fans know, The last master of style and Pereira have fought twice in kickboxing. The Brazilian emerged victorious twice and the second was particularly memorable as it was by knockout.

There is no doubt that Pereira is the most powerful fighter. The size difference may therefore play a role in their eventual confrontation inside the Octagon. Both Adesanya and Pereira are 6ft 4ft tall but what sets them apart is their physique. While Adesanya is leaner, Alex is much more muscular. This may also explain the power difference between them.

Fans think Israel Adesanya is in trouble against Alex Pereira at UFC 281

As seen in the image above, Israel Adesanya is set to face a physical beast inside the Octagon in November. But it’s not the first time Adesanya has come up against a powerful striker. Previously, Israel beat figures like Yoel Romero, Paolo Costa and Jared Cannonier. Adesanya is a master at avoiding power shots and implementing his game plan.

But Pereira is different because he is also a sophisticated striker as well as being a powerful puncher. In their last kickboxing fight, Adesanya dominated a lot of it. But all it took for Pereira was an opening to find the perfect shot and that put the lights out for Izzy. Even in his last cfu struggle, Poatan knocked out Sean Strickland as soon as he had the chance.

Alex will aggressively pursue a knockout and he will pick up the pace as soon as he senses weakness. On top of that, seeing the pristine form Alex is in has fans thinking he will maintain his winning streak against Adesanya at UFC 281.

Here are some notable reactions on Twitter to the photo.

What are your thoughts on the subject? Do you think the size difference between the two will play into the fight? Or will Israel Adesanya finally defeat Alex Pereira and complete his 6th middleweight title defense? Let us know in the comments below.
