“Found again last night and reaffirmed today that I tested positive for Covid-19 while in the market,” Jordan wrote on Twitter. “As a result, I won’t be in Orlando to start the season again.”

Jordan’s agent with Excel Sports told the administration on Monday.

Jordan and Spencer Dinwiddie tested positive for covid-19, though Dinwiddie has not yet officially ruled out himself, he told The Athlete Monday.

On Sunday, Forward Wilson Chandler informed ESPN  that he left the reboot for the season and quoted family concerns.

Even before these positive tests, some Nets players – like others in many NBA teams – discussed the possibility of a rematch in Orlando. If the Nets lose more players, it is easier for other key players to decide that there is no competitive reason to play.

Jordan is Nets’ fifth player to reveal that when the season starts again Jordan is not going to Orlando with the team. Wilson Chandler avoided  doing so in order to spend more time with his family. Rookie big man Nicola Claxton has had surgery, which will keep him out. Of course, both Kevin Durant and  Kyrie Irving have been ruled out with their own injuries.

Spencer also revealed earlier Monday that he tested for the Coronavirus positively; however, his status for Orlando remains unknown. Losing him would leave the Nets without their four top players.

The Nets will resume the games on July 30 in Orlando, Florida, and are part of the 22 NBA teams. It’s the 7th Eastern Conference game a half way ahead of the Orlando Magic at the final playoff .

Sources said the Nets had not organized team workouts at the team’s Brooklyn facility for several days. NBA regulations dictate that current team workouts in the marketplace are socially remote and that there is no contact among players.

The teams will not start formal training camps until Orlando arrives in mid-July.

Teams must submit a list of eligible players to the NBA on Wednesday. The Nets are signing blade agent Justin Anderson as an alternative to Chandler, Priority Sports agent Mark Bartelstein told ESPN, and sources say the Nets are also planning to replace Jordan.
