Japan's SLIM Lander enters Moon's orbit and it is set to become the fifth country in the world for succesfull lunar landing.

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency(JAXA) announced that SLIM Lander Successfully inserted into lunar orbit on Dec. 25.

The lander is expected to land on January 20, statement given by JAXA.

It lifted off in September from Southern island of Tanegashima, launched on H-IIA rocket.

The lander is equipped with compact lunar probes and aims to achieve precise landing.

JAXA said its main objective is landing accuracy within 100m in 4km X 2.4km landing area dedicated to Chandrayan 3.
